2202. Signed Phillip Hornthal 1941 framed oil on board. This WWll painting was done by(from available research) I believe the Phillip Hornthal who was an artist in the U.S. "ghost" army in WWll. This group of soldiers were artists and actors who tricked the germans with special effects and fakery instead of fighting!! They were a secret until 1996. The painting measures about 15" long by 11 and 1/2" across inside the fame. The wooden frame appears to original is is painted over wood. The is a small area with damage in the lower left of the top picture. $600.00 |   |

| 2210. Karl Zerbe modernist wood cut titled The Clown. This Karl Zerbe painting was made in 1964 and was signed Karl Zerbe artist's proof 1. It is in very good condition. It is about 19 and 1/2 inches hight and 27 and 1/2 inches across, including the frame. Karl Zerbe fled Nazi Germany in 1934. He became the head of the painting department at Boston U. He has exhibited world wide and is in numerous museums such as: Metropolitan Museum of Art, Sandiego Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of art, and the Smithsonain. $600.00 |    |

| 2212. Signed John Noble oil on artist board dated 1923. John Noble was also known as "Wichita Bill" Noble. He lived from 1874-1935 when he died from poison. He lived in paris for a number of years where he met his wife, who was also an artist, and probably painted this painting while living there. | 2215. Marcus Blahove oil on board. Marcus Blahove was born in 1928 in the Russian Ukraine. He studied art in Argentina at the Circulo de Bellas Artes and Academia Vicense. Puig, Buenos Aires. He came to the U.S. in 1960 where he studied ate the National Academy of Design in New York. His work is in the National collection of fine arts, The Portrait Gallery (Smithsonian), and the U.S. House of Representatives. He is mostly known for his impressionists portraits, but also genre. This piece is a wonderful oil on board of a red barn. It is impressionist in nature with great use of light. There are no issues. The painting is about 13 1/2" high and about 24" across inside the frame and is signed. $900.00 |    |
| 2216. A.Cedro signed oil on board. A. Cedro was a russian born artist active in 1905-1910 in California and Oregon area. Also, was a staff artist for Commodore Robert Peary on his 1905-6 artic exporation. There are stories about his travels in the Mt Shasta area and his drinking after the death of his wife. Stories aside, he did some nice paintings and this oil on artist board of 2 dead ducks is one. The A.Cedro painting measures about 11" by 15 1/2" on the inside of the frame and is in very good condition with only a few dings on the frame. $675.00 |     |
